United Way of Hawkins County is raising funds for the following agencies in our 2020 campaign. We want to help them continue their very important work in Hawkins County.
American Red Cross of Northeast Tennessee-Provides 24 hour relief for families in disasters, health/safety training and connect volunteers to those in urgent need of a helping hand. CASA For Kids, Inc.-CASA volunteers represent the best interests of children coming to the attention of juvenile court because of allegations of abuse or neglect. Chip Hale Center-Provides programs and services for adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities through a support living program and day services. Girl Scouts of the Appalachian Council-Builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Provides a comprehensive leadership development program that positively impacts girls K-12 by building skills that lead to future success. |

Providing the education, tools and support for a better life. Hawkins County Health Department-Funds received from the United Way are used to purchase medical supplies for Primary Care Clinic patients as well as dental supplies. Hawkins County Mental Health Center-Provides outpatient mental health and substance abuse programs for children, adolescents and adults. Hawkins County Rescue Squad-A volunteer, non-profit organization that serves the citizens of Hawkins County 24 hours a day. M.A.T.S., Inc.-Provides temporary shelter, food and clothing and counseling to homeless individuals and families through intensive case management, advocacy and partnering with area agencies. Mountain Region Speech & Hearing Center, Inc.-Experienced not-for-profit organization providing diagnosis and treatment for speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders for infants, children and adults. Of One Accord (The Shepherd's Center)-Offers two emergency food pantries, one in Rogersville and one in Church Hill, a free medical clinic in Church Hill and county wide Christmas Activities. Free winter coats are given each fall. Sequoyah Council, Boy Scouts of America-Stresses character building, citizenship training, physical fitness for young people between the ages of 6 & 20 with over 11,000 scouts and volunteer leaders in the 16 counties served by the council. East Tn. Kidney Foundation - Founded in 2010, East TN Kidney Foundation (ETKF) is dedicated to connecting individual East Tennesseans with early detection of kidney disease, education, and access to life sustaining care. We are 100% LOCAL & INDEPENDENT & not affiliated with the NKF. |
